Mwazaro means "Place for Praying" in the ancient language of the coast-dwellers. Mwazaro Beach is a holy place for the native tribe of the Digos. Even today, the inhabitants of Mwazaro Beach are still sacrificing and praying at the nearby Holy Baobab. Hans von Loesch, who left Germany 1993 to live in Kenya as a dropout, realized his dream of living there. 10 years ago he discovered this beautiful paradise and founded Mwazaro Beach Mangrove Lodge close to the ocean. It is an incomparable romantic and lovely spot. Mwazaro Beach is an ecological camp far away from mass tourism, stress and superficiality. Among an immaculate nature, 10 palm cottages and lovely arranged Coral-Houses are offering the very right place for your individual holidays. Together with his partner Jörg, Hans is welcoming his guests in a very private and personal atmosphere.
